The “Explorers” Pony is about ‘the day the earth stood still’ for the Native Americans when Christopher Columbus sailed across the ocean in 1492 and reached the eastern shores of America. The Spaniards brought the descendents of today’s horse to America. (The ancient eohippus had long become extinct on the American Continents of prehistoric days.) The second side of this pony shows another type of explorer...travelling in the flying saucer. Beings from other parts of the universe may travel or already may have travelled across the stars to visit planet earth (perhaps from the stars in the Pegasus constellation named in old mythology by the Greeks). Thus, the “Explorers” Pony connects the horse throughout time in relation to mankind. |
