The “Ghost Pony” Pony shows the intelligence and cunning of wild horses when it
came to eluding capture. Many a horse chase was finished by a stallion who could outsmart the cowboy. The horse was cunning in finding its way to the other side of the waterfall or following their secret path into the hidden canyon or valley to escape capture. Afterall, why would a wild horse living a totally free life want to be tamed. The West is blessed to have the story of the wild horse as part of its history and heritage. There are still many wild horses living in the hills and canyons of desolate parts of the uninhabitted west. Let’s hope the wild horse will always be allowed to run free in parts of America, the land of the free and home of the brave. |
