The “Pony Hideout” Pony shows the intelligence of some horses when it came to being caught. Many a horse chase was blundered by a stallion who could outsmart the cowboy. Hiding under a waterfall or in a secret canyon or hidden valley may have been a way of escaping captivity. After all, why would any wild horse want to be tamed. The meaning of the West is blessed to have had the story of the wild horse as part of its history and adventure. There are still many wild horses living in the hills and canyons of desolate parts of the country that mankind has not yet occupied. Let’s hope they will always be allowed to run free in parts of America, the land of the free and home of the brave. |
